1. Eliminate Extremism You don’t need to be perfect with exercise and nutrition. No more “all-or-nothing” thinking. You don’t expect perfection in any other area of life, so don’t let fitness and nutrition be any different for you. You don’t quit after one bad day at work. You don’t trash your car just because it gets a flat tire one day. Bad days happen – accept it and move on. No more punishing yourself with super-intense exercise to “make up” for bad food choices. Just get back on course the next day. You can’t get fit from three “perfect” days, and you don’t get massively unfit from three bad days
2. The Disappearing ScaleWeight is ultimately meaningless – fitness is defined by the quality of life you have....Instead of staring at the scale ask yourself.....
Do you have more energy, or do you feel more capable in your body?
Are your clothes fitting more loosely?
Are you starting to like what you see in the mirror?
Are people commenting that you “look great,” or are “losing weight?” (especially people who are only acquaintances and don't see you daily)
If you are answering “yes” to at least 3 of these 4 questions, I’ll guarantee that you’re making progress.
3. Love to Eat - Just Fall in Love With the Right FoodIf you’ve fallen in love with a toxic person, nothing good can come from it as they systematically drag you down. Fall in love with the right person, and they will “help you become the best you that you can be.” And it’s no different with food. Love the wrong foods, and your body and health suffer. Love the right foods, and your body thrives.
Thanks for that Carrie
